Welcome

Headteacher's Welcome to Alder Grove Church of England Primary School

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to Alder Grove Church of England Primary School, where we continue to grow as a vibrant community of learning, grounded in our Christian Vision inspired by Psalm 1:3:

“They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season,”

As a school we aim for every child to flourish and thrive, nurtured by strong roots of personal development, knowledge, and character.

At Alder Grove, we are more than just a place of academic excellence. We are a community where each child is encouraged to grow in Kindness, Service, Truthfulness, Forgiveness, Courage, and Perseverance. These Values shape every aspect of our school's ethos, helping to guide children as they develop into thoughtful, compassionate, and resilient individuals.

Since opening, we have continued to build on our strong foundation. Each year, our school grows, and with it, our commitment to nurturing young minds and hearts. As part of The Keys Academy Trust, we benefit from being part of a wider family of schools, and this partnership enhances the educational opportunities we provide. However, it is our dedicated and close-knit school community—staff, parents, governors, and students—that makes Alder Grove truly special.

We believe that education is about more than academic achievement; it is about unlocking each child's potential, so they can bear fruit in all areas of life. Through high standards of learning, excellent pastoral care, and our deep commitment to nurturing moral character, we aim to equip all our children with the tools they need to succeed, not just in school, but in life. We aim for our students to leave Alder Grove ready to take on the challenges of secondary education and beyond, confident in their abilities, and motivated to contribute positively to society.

At the heart of our school is the partnership between staff, children, and families. Together, we create a happy, secure environment where your child can develop a love for learning and a strong moral compass. We are here to support your child on their journey, helping them to grow into the person they are meant to be.

I look forward to welcoming you to Alder Grove and working with you to ensure that your child enjoys a happy and fulfilling time with us.
