Vision and Values
Alder Grove Church of England Primary School Vision Statement
At Alder Grove, we believe that strong roots are essential for growth, just as a tree needs deep, healthy roots to thrive. Our vision is for each child to be like a tree “planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season” (Psalm 1:3). We are committed to providing an environment that nurtures the growth of every child—academically, spiritually, emotionally, and socially—so they can flourish and reach their full potential.
Our school community is rooted in the Christian Values of Kindness, Service, Truthfulness, Forgiveness, Courage, and Perseverance. These Values are inspired by the life of Jesus, and while Alder Grove welcomes children from all faith backgrounds and none, we aim to support every child in growing deep roots that will enable them to become strong, compassionate, and responsible members of society.
As part of The Keys Academy Trust, we belong to a family of schools dedicated to educational and pastoral excellence. Our school serves as a centre of academic and personal growth, where children are encouraged to develop a love for learning, independence, and resilience. Through a knowledge-led curriculum and high standards of teaching, we aim to prepare each child for the challenges of the 21st century and to empower them with the knowledge and skills they need to make informed decisions about the world around them.
We understand that flourishing is not just about individual success, but about the wellbeing of the whole community. Therefore, we emphasise the importance of serving one another and caring for our environment. Together, we create a nurturing and inclusive school culture where all pupils, regardless of their background or circumstance, are supported to achieve their highest potential.
When children are rooted in the right values and given the right support, we will see them bear fruit—developing not only in academic achievement but also in their character, integrity, and sense of purpose. As they grow, they will leave Alder Grove equipped for secondary school and beyond, ready to lead fulfilling lives and contribute positively to their communities.
